Designed in collaboration with Natalie Chanin, the hand-etched design is a nod to the interplay of fabric and stitch in a well-crafted garment. Unique and versatile, this plate celebrates the expression of multiple layers and textures.

Laboratory Porcelain Plate - Large

About 200 km away from Delhi, India, there is a town that is home to many ceramic factories. In the midst of factories with smoke pouring out of their chimneys, PUEBCO encountered a factory that specializes in ceramic that is used for scientific experiments and laboratory use. These porcelain dishes and pots are not custom-made based on PUEBCO's design but they are part of the normal production at the factory. Despite all of them being formed by the same mold, the finished product comes out mismatched due to the irregularities in thickness and application of the glaze. Because they are made with techniques and machines that have remained unchanged for over 60 years, even new items look like antiques. Although it is possible to put these items directly on a fire, because of the inspection standards of India, the strength of the porcelain over time is unknown. We ask you to take this antique quality into consideration when using.
